Google App: CaseMap CRM

This page contains notes about developing the CaseMap CRM project in Java on the Google AppEngine platform.

There are, as of this writing, two language platforms supported on the Google Apps platform: Python and Java. I like highly typed object oriented languages, and I trust and know Java, so I stuck with Java. Python seems very powerful but I’m more familiar with Java and not looking to learn a new language right now.

My Google Apps can be found at https://appengine.google.com/
. The general Google AppEngine page is here.

Note that I’m developing on an Ubuntu Linux netbook running the GNOME platform.

uname -a returns:
Linux drifter 2.6.32-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 28 06:07:29 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
